Job Description
As a Grocery Order Puller and Shopper for Riverview Boat Store, you will be responsible for selecting the freshest produce and supplies needed for tow boats along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. You will make decisions based on the condition of the products, ensuring that only the best-quality items are chosen. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong decision-making skills, and a commitment to providing the best products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop for groceries and supplies needed for tow boats on the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.
- Select fresh produce, meats, and other goods based on quality and current conditions.
- Make decisions regarding product quality to ensure only the best items are chosen for delivery.
- Maintain inventory and track product needs to ensure timely and accurate shopping.
- Communicate effectively with the team to meet the needs of customers and ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow store policies and standards for shopping and product selection.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining shopping lists and order requests.
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary – we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Ability to make quick and informed decisions based on the condition of products.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work some weekends (no nights required).
- Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
